Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision for Qualified and Trainee CBT Therapists

I have over 10 years of experience supervising Trainees, newly qualified and experienced Therapists.

I supervise CBT therapists within Talking Therapies Services and I also work for two Universities as a Supervisor and personal tutor.

I receive regular meta supervision and CPD to support me in this role, and to ensure I provide the best possible support to the clinicians I supervise.

I think that supervision should be a safe and supportive space to share your clinical practice and gain support for you and the clients you are working with.

I ensure that my supervision provides space for reflection, discussion on interpersonal processes as well as skills development.

As a clinician I have an interest in mindfulness and compassion, and this is reflected in my work as a supervisor.

If you have any questions about clinical supervision or would like a conversation to see if we would be a good fit, reach out and I would be happy to arrange a free initial chat.

Trainees

I have a lot of experience supervising trainee CBT Therapists. I currently work for Canterbury Christ Church University at the Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology on the PG Dip. CBT course as an examiner and Supervisor and on the CBT PG Dip. course team for Staffordshire University and Keele University as a Lecturer, Examiner, Personal tutor and Supervisor. I have also supervised a number of trainees in the capacity of a placement supervisor within Talking therapies Services.

I have experience marking CTS-R recordings and case reports.

I have completed BABCP training to mark KSA portfolios and I have experience completing supervisor reports and marking portfolios for BABCP Accreditation.

The needs of a trainee often vary from those of a qualified therapist, and by working together we can ensure that supervision meets your individual needs and builds your confidence as you progress through this challenging training course.

If you would like to discuss your needs and see if we are a good fit, please get in touch and we can arrange a free and informal initial chat.
